The Filmfare Best Comedian Award is given by the Filmfare magazine as part of its annual Filmfare Awards for Hindi films .
Although the awards started in 1953, awards for the best comedian category started only in 1967.

Anupam Kher , with five wins, has more Best Comedian Award than any other actor, followed by Mehmood with four, and Deven Varma and Utpal Dutt with three awards each. Having won the award thrice in a row (1992-1994), Kher also holds the record for most consecutive wins in this category.
